2008-D Sacagawea Dollar. MS-68 (PCGS). Sharply struck, fully lustrous and bearing no distracting marks on either face, as one might expect of the lofty MS-68 grade afforded this coin whose circulating brethren quickly become quite unappealing from even a short stint in general commerce. Though no 2008 Sacagawea Dollars were struck for general circulation, the current example is one of just 5 Denver Mint examples graded at the MS-68 level by PCGS, with none finer at that grading service. The 2008 Sacagaweas struck at both Philadelphia and Denver are the key dates to the short-lived series, with a mintage figure of just 1,820,000 pieces each.
