Lot Description

Lovely and brilliantly lustrous, this is a virtually CHOICE Mint State example. Well struck, both obverse and reverse shows good definition that contrasts against the lustrous fields. A few minor contact marks are all that keeps this early Seated half from an even higher grade. PCGS 15, NGC 8, CAC 3. The last PCGS MS62 CAC sold in our March 2017 Internet only Premier Session for $1,650. Today the Collectors Universe value is listed at $1,950. The Medium Date is very rare any finer, with just 17 graded higher at PCGS, 8 in MS63, 7 in 64, and 2 in 65. The last 63 sold 15 years ago!
