1836 Capped Bust Half Dime. LM-6. Rarity-3. Large 5 C. MS-65 (NGC). CAC. Frosty and well preserved, this lovely Gem is dusted with the lightest pinkish-silver toning that further enhances already strong eye appeal. Both sides are strongly struck with bold to sharp detail throughout the design. A scarce variety that is rare in Mint State (per Logan and McCloskey, Federal Half Dimes: 1792-1837, 1998), this premium quality MS-65 is certainly among the finest obtainable to today's discerning collectors.
