1878/6 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-952. Rarity-5+. Indian Head. Large Date. MS-63 PL (NGC). A gorgeous Period Two Indian half dollar. Frosty motifs and richly mirrored fields are fully brilliant with lively olive highlights. The cameo contrast is superb, particularly on the obverse. The variety with the 6 in the date hand-altered to an 8. Choice for the grade.
