Lot Description

2 graded MS-66+, 38 higher at PCGS. That a coin of such diminutive dimensions could contain such a tremendous amount of frothy texture is impressive all on its own, but the fresh dies also produced a scant hint of cameo effect due to the thickly frosted devices. Unlike the situation often seen for prior dates, the dies show no signs of clashing, leading to an exceptionally clean, accurate strike that nearly maximizes the star dimensions.
