Lot Description

1760 Hibernia-Voce Populi Halfpenny. Zelinka 7-E, Nelson-3, W-13930. Rarity-3. VOOE POPULI. EF-40. 116.4 grains. Another superior example of the VOOE variety, a duplicate here but itself finer than anything Boyd-Ford had to offer. Choice glossy chocolate brown with an ideally smooth obverse, some light natural striations underlying the reverse. Beautiful eye appeal on both sides. Described by Bob Vlack on the accompanying envelope as "partial break at C, showing beginning of VOOE variety." A premium example of this popular variety. PCGS# 265. Provenance: From the Ted L.
