1893-O Liberty Head Eagle. Winter-1, the only known dies. MS-61 (NGC). OH. An overall sharply struck example with vivid pinkish-orange luster on both sides. Thanks to the discovery and repatriation of hundreds of examples that had been held in European bank reserves since before World War One, the 1893-O is a far more obtainable issue in Mint State than a limited mintage of 17,000 pieces might imply.
