- Lot Description
- At the very least, this GEM is ranked among the top of the Condition Census for this somewhat scarce R-3 die marriage. It is quite possibly the FINEST known. Radiating satin luster glows along the frosty, mark free surfaces. A delicate olive-tan, golden-russet, and soft azure tone kisses the surfaces, giving this wonderful GEM a great look. Totally original, this beauty has impressive quality, both aesthetic and technical. PCGS 64, NGC 39, CAC 19. The most recent example sold in auction for $9,600 in the recent 2019 ANA auction. This gorgeous coin was the Rev. McClure coin that sold as an NGC MS65 CAC for $8,225 in June 2016. Worthy of a good home, it belongs in a great 19th century type set. Good luck. Cert. Number 81640771 PCGS # 006159
