Lot Description

Grellman Die State b. Stunning rose-red surfaces retain full mint color to a finish that is satin to softly frosted in texture. Peripheral softness is a function of both die variety and die state, but the central features are boldly to sharply rendered with most features crisp. There are no significant marks, carbon flecks or other blemishes. In sum, this is an outstanding example of both the type and Newcomb number that will please even the most discerning numismatist.
