Lot Description

FS# 901, formerly FS-2.94 (Cherrypickers). The reverse die deteriorated over time, with FS-2.94 showing a broken "C" (2.95 adds a broken S, 2.96 adds another broken S, 2.97 adds a broken D, and the final die-state 2.98 has no broken letters). The "1868, reverse of 1868" nickels are collectable by die-state and popular as such, although they are all legitimately rare compared to a non-attributed 1868 nickel. This immaculate example shimmers with dynamic silver-bright luster and shows no blemishes.
