1860 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-65 (NGC). Deep golden-gray patina throughout with silvery-steel frost on the devices. A rare early Proof from this series that is especially hard to find at the Gem level. Trace softness on the tiny olive branch, common to this series. PCGS# 3709. Provenance: From the Winecrest Collection. NGC Census: 11; 4 finer (PR-68 finest) within designation.
