Examples of the 1850-C half eagle are seldom offered with the abundant mint luster and generally bold striking detail that are apparent on both sides of this coin. The mintmark is unusually well defined; most other design elements are sharply to fully rendered. Frosty in texture, this half eagle is sure to sell for a strong premium.
