- Unfortunately PCGS has designated this coin incorrectly as an Open 3, while in fact it is a Closed 3 variety. A final year of issue for the legend obverse, no arrows at date design, until resumption in 1875. The Closed 3 variety is the more common of the two major date types of this issue.
