Lot Description

1786 Connecticut Copper. Miller 5.3-N, W-2575. Rarity-5. Mailed Bust Left, Hercules Head. VF-20 (for variety). 131.64 grains. Chocolate-brown with golden-brown high points. Obverse with minor planchet flaws, as struck, on the effigy in a few places, rim tight to bottom of breast and tops of AUC, no other marks of substance, reverse in a late state, the die collapsed and field swollen completely around Liberty's seated figure, rim through INDE, LIB barely visible, scattered fissures, as struck.
