Lot Description

Champagne pearlescence overlays both the watery fields and frosty devices of this angelic Gem Proof, perhaps a bit deeper at the border regions. Despite a <em>Guide Book</em> listed mintage of 912 pieces, the number accounted for in collections today is probably closer to 600. The median grade for certified Proofs is in the range from Proof-64 to 65. Proof-66 examples are decidedly above average, and are especially desirable as such.
