- 1870 Seated Liberty Half Dime. MS-67 (NGC). OH. Far and away the finest 1870 Half Dime that we have offered in recent memory, this gorgeous Superb Gem really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Both sides are peripherally toned in truly magnificent cobalt-blue and reddish-champagne iridescence, the colors a bit more widespread on the reverse. The centers are brilliant, however, which feature allows one to appreciate a decidedly prooflike finish in the fields. Satiny devices are sharp-to-full in strike, and all areas are equally well preserved. An awe-inspiring piece.
