1881 Gold Dollar. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC. Intense satin luster throughout, both sides are fully struck with delightful color in pale gold. This issue boasts a limited mintage of 7,620 circulation strikes. Thanks to widespread hoarding among contemporary numismatists, the 1881 gold dollar is a much more obtainable issue in Mint State than the mintage might imply.
