Virtually pristine in an example of this perennially popular type issue in the Proof Buffalo nickel series. Intensely brilliant with a strongly reflective finish, full striking detail also allows ready appreciation of this classic 20th century design. Wisps of champagne-gold and ice-blue iridescence are also present on both sides to further enhance already exceptional eye appeal. Last of the Proof Buffalo nickels, the 1937 was produced to the extent of 5,769 pieces, virtually all of which were sold to contemporary dealers and collectors. Survivors abound in today's market, but precious few are as expertly preserved and attractive as this stunning Ultra Gem.
