1740-BB French Colonies Half Sou Marque. Strasbourg Mint. Vlack-325. Rarity-1. MS-63 (PCGS). A sharp and appealing example of this billon issue, nicely preserved with full silver-gray surfaces and excellent eye appeal. Struck in the reign of Louis XV for use in the French Colonies which at the time included outposts throughout much of the New World. Choice for the grade, a pleasing example of a series that has come into its own in recent times.
