Lot 425 1855 N-4 R1 Upright 55 PCGS graded XF45, CAC Approved.Attractive glossy medium brown. Smooth and quite nice for a lightly worn cent. The best identifying marks are a thin diagonal nick high on the cheekbone, another in the field close off the end of the nose, and a tiny scratch under star 5. Scarce LDS, die state f, with four well-defined rim cuds at the top of the reverse. Our grade is VF35. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
