A premium quality example of both the issue and type. Highly lustrous with beautiful orange-apricot color, this sharply impressed Gem makes a strong impression. Despite its status as one of the most available issues from the pre-1920 Saint-Gaudens double eagle series, the 1914-S is very scarce in MS-66 and virtually unknown any finer.
