FROM THE HUNTER COLLECTION Ex Link. Both obverse and reverse of this R-3 die marriage show just the faintest touch of friction that keeps it from a Mint State grade and placement in the condition census. Totally original, this coin was lovingly cared for in an old paper envelope. There are a few faint marks that we note, toned over long ago, which are visible with a glass and we note for accuracy. Sharply struck, the warm, glowing, underlying luster accents the rich slate/battleship/pewter toning, imparting a pleasing eye appeal. PCGS 75, NGC 44, CAC 19. The most recent PCGS/CAC example realized $2,585 in July 2016. Worthy of a bid in excess of the current PCGS Price Guide value of $1,900. A good coin for any Bust Half Nut! Cert.
