Lot Description

1859 Pattern Half Dollar. Judd-240, Pollock-296. Rarity-5. Copper. Reeded Edge. Proof-64 RB (PCGS). CAC. Obverse with a bust of Liberty facing right, known as Longacre's French Liberty head, date below, legends surround and LIBERTY inscribed on a ribbon on her shoulder. Reverse with an open cereal wreath within which is 1/2 / DOLLAR. Mostly Red with some fading and a few carbon specks on the delicate surfaces, but the eye appeal is intact and strong. PCGS# 11975.
