Lot Description

A gloriously lustrous SUPERB GEM that has a dusting of iridescent toning on both sides. Well struck and very eye appealing. The surfaces have a delightful pale gold and sky blue patina evenly dusted over the uber smooth, superb quality surfaces. The reverse die break variety. Very cool late reverse die state with a dramatic die break that goes through the central rigging and looks like an extra sail. PCGS 52, NGC 21. For the variety, PCGS has graded just this single coin as FINEST graded example. PCGS CoinFacts does not assign a value in such a high grade, nor are there any auction records that we can find.
