1870 Two-Cent Piece. MS-64+ RD (PCGS). CAC. Pale pinkish-tan color on the reverse, the obverse is equally attractive in varied reddish-apricot and pale gold. Both sides are sharply struck with an intense satin to softly frosted finish. One of the scarcer circulation strike two-cent issues, and rare in the finer Mint State grades, the 1870 has a more limited mintage for the type of 861,250 coins.
