Lot Description

BB Die State II. This is the most popular type candidate among Flowing Hair silver dollar die marriages, and it is represented here by a universally bold Choice VF example. Softness is most pronounced at the central high points, the result of both moderate wear and a typical quality of strike for the BB-27 dies. A bit glossy in texture, but retoning nicely in dominant sandy-silver gray with a halo of warmer steel-olive at the obverse periphery.
