Lot Description

125.3 grains. We note handsome, original color in chestnut-brown and plenty of good gloss on hard, tight surfaces. A trace of roughness in the original planchet is easily overlooked, and there are neither flaws nor sizeable post-production blemishes to distract the eye during in-hand viewing. Close inspection under magnification dose reveal a few fine scratches on the effigy, less so on the seated figure, but these are mentioned solely for accuracy. Well centered in strike with all design elements bold and much of the border denticulation present, this is a lovely VF in an RR-20 that serves as a desirable representative of both the type and variety.
