Lot Description

Totally original and boasting wonderful eye appeal, this near-Gem early Seated dime is well suited for any type set or complete set of Seated dimes. Abundant slate-blue, dove-gray, and olive-russet-tan tones dust both sides of this satiny coin. The details are strongly defined and the eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 36, NGC 37, CAC 7. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $1,234 in our Regency Auction 18 (May 2016) and it was NOT CAC--in fact the only CAC coin to sell in auction was the NGC-graded Newman example (not this coin). Currently the Collector's Universe value is listed at $1,400. 179-year old type coins like this have been so disrespected by the market the last few years. We expect strong bidding! Cert.
