- 1888-O Morgan Silver Dollar. VAM-4. Top 100 Variety. Doubled Die Obverse, Hot Lips. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. This silver dollar is warmly toned with mottled mauve and golden-olive iridescence on a base of even smoky-silver patina. The 1888-O Hot Lips is the most popular Doubled Die Obverse variety in the entire Morgan dollar series. It is also very rare in Mint State, and there should be keen bidder interest in this premium Choice AU survivor.
