- 1874 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-64 (PCGS). Produced in far fewer numbers than the 1873-dated Quarter Eagles, the 1874 has an original mintage of just 3,920 business strikes. Our offerings for this date are very few and even farther between, with this near-Gem solidly in the Condition Census. Satiny and overall smooth, both sides are awash in moderately deep, even, rose-orange color. Razor sharp in strike, with remarkably smooth surfaces that are bumping up against full Gem quality. Destined for inclusion in the finest Liberty Quarter Eagle set.
