- 33.1 mm. 303.2 grains. Fairly uniform mahogany brown with a curious ring in the toning near the G of WASHINGTON and a small harmless spot against the obverse rim at 7 o'clock. A trace of subtle mottling is noted upon close inspection. A nicely preserved example of this dated-obverse variety celebrating several of Washington's accomplishments, but sparked by the first peaceful transition of presidential power in the United States. It was notably engraved and struck by Thomas Wyon in Birmingham, England.
