1862-S Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-A. Fine-12 (PCGS). CAC. A scarce, low mintage date, with only 67,000 struck for the year. While many silver coins were hoarded in the east during the Civil War, the coins struck in San Francisco saw extensive commercial service. Problem free circulated examples such as this one are hard to find.
