Lot Description

Deep honey-orange surfaces with a tinge of warm olive, both sides also sport bold to sharp striking detail to all design elements. The mintmark is fully outlined and readily appreciable, as expected for a Strong D example, although it is not designated as such by NGC. The key date issue among circulation strike Indian quarter eagles, the 1911-D is eagerly sought in all grades, especially those at the Mint State level.
