- Interestingly, this lovely coin is held in place by a white gasket, a temporary and short lived "quick-fix" utilized by PCGS to solve the issue of the coin not properly fitting in the holder. We have only seen this anomaly used on one or two other coins before. Holder aside, the coin itself is supremely choice. Natural dark chocolate color, more than enough detail for the assigned grade, and lacking any ugly spots or porosity. This is the Head of 1794, Sheldon-22 "Bent Lock" variety, late die state (LDS), as evidenced by the large die lump on the reverse above the word "ONE." Between the holder, the CAC sticker, and the variety, we anticipate a lot of action on this lot. CAC approved for quality and eye appeal.
