Lot Description
THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV Tied for second HIGHEST GRADED at PCGS, with just a single MS65 better. A dusting of golden and dove gray toning accent brilliant satiny surfaces. This VERY CHOICE early Seated half displays keenly defined motifs, rendered from a precise blow from the dies. Under a loupe a few contact marks are noted, but they have virtually no impact on the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 6, NGC 7. The most recent example of this date to sell in auction realized $5,775 in our July 2018 Premier Session Internet Only Auction. That coin was deeply toned and CAC approved. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000. Just a single MS65 is graded finer at PCGS, a coin that last sold nearly eight years ago. This near-GEM example is worthy of a fantastic set of Seated Liberty half dollars. Do not let this opportunity pass you by! Cert. Number 81464441 PCGS # 6236
