Lot Description

1904-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS). This New Orleans Mint issue has a substantial mintage, well in excess of one million pieces, yet Mint State survivors are surprisingly scarce. This example is blanketed in bold olive-brown toning, with vibrant undertones of amber-gold evident at more direct light angles. The devices are sharply struck, and the underlying luster is only partially muted by the deep patina.
