1848-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). This warmly patinated honey-gold example has bold to sharp striking detail in all but a few isolated areas. Well produced and preserved for a Charlotte Mint half eagle of any date, this appealing Choice AU is from the scarcer 1848-C issue.
