FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION Classic old time collection toning graces the surfaces of this watery-reflective near-GEM. Azure and rich orange toning is enlivened by the reflective brilliance of the mirrored fields. The devices are sharply rendered and the eye appeal on this near-GEM Civil War year half dollar is excellent. We do not know why CAC did not approve it, we like the look a lot!
