Losbeschreibung

This pretty piece combines vivid reddish-honey gold color with strong, frosty to semi-reflective luster. Minor softness of strike engages some of the peripheral stars on the obverse, but the detail is otherwise sharp to full. Minimally marked for the assigned grade, the in-hand appearance is pleasingly smooth even despite the presence of a few faint hairlines from numismatic handling. The 1875-CC is a perennially popular Carson City Mint double eagle issue with specialized collectors, attractive Mint State examples such as this enjoying particularly strong demand among advanced numismatists.
