Lot Description

1869 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. EF-45 (PCGS). 1846-C Liberty Half Eagle. Winter Variety 1 (8-E), the only known dies. EF-40 (PCGS). Toned with a dash of russet over the yellow-gold planchet, with smooth wear and decent surfaces that are free of any deep or detracting marks. Mintage of a scant 2,500 pieces for the year, with perhaps a few hundred or so existing today for collectors to choose from.
