Losbeschreibung: A very high end and HIGH GRADE example, a SUPERB survivor from an original mintage of only 5,005. Rich mint frost dominates on both sides. The obverse shows a subtle, pale blue over brilliant silver patina in the center, ringed with a rich orange tone, while the reverse shows a slightly dappled slate and brilliant silver tone. An intense luster blooms across satiny smooth and ultra clean surfaces, which certainly hold up to intense scrutiny, even with a strong glass. The eye appeal is incredible, we have looked this coin over and again and do not understand what precluded CAC approval. PCGS 17, NGC 6. The current Collectors Universe value is $4,500 and the recent examples to sell were all CAC approved, the most recent selling in our July 2022 Regency Auction for $6,463.
